WHAT IS MESSIANIC ? In purely semantic terms Messianic means exactly the same as Christian. Messianic comes from the Hebrew Mashiach (Messiah) and Christian comes from the Greek christos (Christ). In terms of meaning and emphasis Messianic refers primarily to Jewish disciples of Yeshua who want to serve their Messiah as Jewish people, rather than being ‘ethnically cleansed’ by ignorance.
